I wouldn't say it's a huge screaming deal, but might be worth keeping an eye on and making an offer in a month if it's still around. I've been passively looking for one for the foundation of an adjustable welding table for a while, but I've recently stimulated the economy enough the past couple weeks and accumulated enough project fodder to chew on for a few months at least, so I'm out on this one. Unless I can get it for less than half of asking in a few months......

Apparently it sold.

FWIW, I’ve got one (bought at 1/3rd the price of the one you showed) and tried it for a welding table. Not that stable- would need outriggers or be bolted to floor. Would still want thick plate steel on it to clamp to and fixture up- that might limit weight of whatever is being welded. I haven’t used mine for welding since getting a layout table that I’ve repurposed. Maybe your projects are lighter weight and appropriately sized for a lift table like this one. Like usual I had tried to do too much with too little.

I still use the lift for all sorts of other projects and wouldn’t sell it.

Thanks for the real world experience, it's always appreciated. I didn't think they'd be all that tippy, especially a high quality one but never having actually used one it was just a guess. My only similar experience is with motorcycle work tables, and the cheap ones were pretty tippy, but good ones were much more stable. I guess anything that moves, has some play in it by necessity, so there's bound to be some wiggle in it no matter the grade.

I was thinking that the adjustable height feature would be very handy for handrail projects and other stuff like that where that vertical versatility would really help. I can see picking up a few more rail jobs this year, so I want to be better prepared, and keep rolling that money back into better shop infrastructure. I've been toying with welding table designs the past couple weeks, trying to come up with a one size fits all type of transformable welding/fab table that I could wheel outside and extend wings on for larger projects, but also has about 20-24" of height adjustment too. I don't want a completely adjustable table like the one above, as I'd lose way too much storage space which is at a huge premium in my shop. As always, I try and incorporate way to many features into things trying to cover all bases.....

Speaking of too many shop projects the fedex guy just dropped of parts I've been waiting for, so I get to head out into the shop and actually finish something lol.
