*** typo...can a moderated change the title to Scrap, not Scrape? thanks
Those in the know, know Hendey made high end machines....Peter in Kemptville has got a 9x24 tool room model that he's basically going to let go for for scrap....or he'll scrap it. In good condition this lathe is magnitudes better than imports I've seen and a heck of lot cheaper. I don't know the extent of the wear, but I know Peter - he's first class and will tell you the details good and bad. Use it as is, or its a first class candidate for a reconditioning - you'd end up with something special from doing so.
He's mentioned on PM he'll let it go without the drive for $400. A phenomenal deal imo.....geez, there are guys wanting that much for a 109!
Anyway, I hope someone here picks it up...a lathe of that pedigree shouldn't go the scrap pile.
