Great Canadian Rust Junky Fest

Since this is a broad spectrum group, I figured some of you might be interested in the Great Canadian Rust Junky Fest (GCRJF). This is not only the 8th annual, but also the first since Covid hit.
What started as a meet up to exchange and trade old woodworking tools, has morphed into an annual gathering of guys who like tools. Jack Forsberg has an amazing shop filled with, very impressive, restored Wadkin woodworking machines.
Its a full day gathering, with a swap meet in the morning and demos all afternoon By some talented people. It’s not all woodworking. A quite a few of the attendee’s are metalworkers as well as woodworkers. Last time, there was a demo of surface scraping large table surfaces. There is also a black smith on site “Old Soldier Toolworks” if you know him.

The day wraps up with a bonfire, beers and music. Jack has a good sized lot, where you can set up a tent and stay the night.
It’s located in Richmond, just south of Ottawa. Here is a link to the website for registration. It doesn’t cost anything, but Jack likes to know how many people are coming so that he have enough food on the BBQ.

Over all, it’s a great party. Maybe a couple of you can make it down.
If you got any questions, let me know.
