Fusion materials and appearance

I was looking more closely at the "Appearance" option - right click the body icon in the browser. There are some pretty neat options now. like this old brass colour.

I also learned if you right click on an appearance loaded into the design then you can edit the colour. I figured there had to be a way - took me a while to discover that.

Yes, very useful not just for cosmetics but also larger assemblies so parts distinguish themselves. This makes for clarity, particularly on cross sections & exploded views & carries through to drawings. I'm sure F360 has it, but you can spec the materials from a dropdown library. It may come with built-in color or you can over-ride. The important bit is now you can do engineering stuff - weight, mass center, stress modelling. Also you can make your own custom materials just by defining properties.
