yes, it's a 12v dc battery tool shown in the pic, being "powered" by a 120v AC SCR speed controller. Just somebody playing with pictures that doesn't understand the tools/devices in question.

We all need to wear dress shirts and ties to be dignified proper men whenst doing our hobbies!
We are allowed to unbutton our sleeves but not roll them up.
Perhaps hes decided to grind a few out right after coming home from a hard days work at the office while hes waiting for the missuz to serve him supper.

I believe thats a Furze safety tie, so good to go.

I'm not sure. I'm going to try one out on a bouncy castle blower I'm using on a foundry build. From what I read, these don't produce the most linear control as one would expect from other speed control method, but when it comes in I'll try it out on the drill press and report back.

And $350 for a benchtop drill press (Drizzle? lol?) That's crizzle, Fo shizzle.
