YES! Nothing broke or blew up!
I figured out the threading on my lathe!
I never noticed this rod that moves with the metic/inch selector behind the “stud gear”
Then I realized it’s some sort of stopping rod so you can’t engage the metric clutch if something is there.
Realized that nothing is blocking it, meaning the gears are set for METRIC!
Switched them, over and set a rod up FAR away from the chuck this time. And only running 36 RPM lol
First pass with a sharpie this time!
Looked ok, so tried with a piece of HSS and I have 14tpi!!!!!
Now I just need a new thread cutting tool holder as my once nice vardex is a little worse for wear :/
