Face mill for Bridgeport

I’m looking for a smallish face mill for my bridgeport, R8 shank(or to bolt to an arbor).

Would prefer something with a common insert style, and wondering what you folks have had success with.

I don’t need stupid high removal rates, just something that will take steel etc down to size. Thinking 2.5-3” diameter will be sufficient for what I usually do. I don’t like running anything much bigger than that on these little mills anyway.

New is fine, will consider name brand or import depending on what others have had luck with.

yeah, and really the choice is either 3/4 or 1" bore

That depends on the shell mill. I'd go for the largest bore possible for the greatest rigidity. Assuming the mill can drive the mill. The Bridgeport of the the OP should have no issue with a 3" face mill.
