Bought this pantograph engraver yesterday.
Cannot find any markings on it.
Came with two boxes of letters, one marked Gorton and the other marked New Hermes.
@whydontu Any ideas?

Kind of looks like a New Hermes GM, or a Scripta. Hard to tell without seeing the work holding setup.

Scroll through https://graviranje.rs/Engraving_PORTAL/machines/new_hermes/index.htm

most of the photos are grainy crap but should give you an idea. I can send you operating manuals for the New Hermes models, they are the baseline design and most other units are similar.

Thanks for that reference, that's the kind of site I was trying to find.
Here part of the text from the ad: "Very old engraver from Yarrows Shipyard. Not sure of the age most likely circa 1930’s? "
