Edmonton Machine Shop Auction

Lots of nice stuff there. Just a couple of issues to anyone wishing to buy. It is conducted in U.S. dollars and there is an 18% buyer premium. Also GST. I looked at the manual mill and there is a rigging fee of $580 US. Kind of makes for an expensive purchase. I suppose there is a business somewhere that would swallow these prices but not most hobby types.

My experience with these auctions of machine shops on bidspotter is that prices go very high. Once you get too many machinists involved they bid up as they know how much new stuff costs, overlooking the fact it is all used, some broken and there are many places you can get used stuff from.

18% on top of the brutal currency exchange rates!
