Cincinnati hydrashift in red deer

I'm 35 minutes away from that beasty...but with my health issues, it's still too far away....but dang, that 54" bed and 15" chuck would have sure been nice when i built a replica cannon tube or two or three. I even have the shop space.

Personally, I use the 16" VDF at work more than I ever use the 12"busy bee. I find it way handier. I once trued up a warped bandsaw wheel in it, that was a cool job

I am unsure it would be a good candidate for CNC conversion. I also do not like the L1 taper. I rather have a D1-6 or similar.
 
it looks attractively priced for someont that wants a sturdy lathe in this size range. You can still get L1 adapters to mount a 3 jaw if you want it. not bad for a 4000 lb lathe.
 
Oh this is certainly way better machine. Owner points out to issues. Obviously needs inspection but price is very attractive for a US made machine.

Yes I know I can get L1 adapters still - its just a bit "old school".

What spindle conversion? Looks like it comes with 3J and 4J chucks. Centers for the tail stock shouldn't be hard to source. States wired for 400 volt 3 phase, I wonder if it can be wired for 220 volt 3 phase?
