Church Woodshop

architect

In Buffalo and got a tour of this trade school inside of an old church that an architecture professor bought and setup. 12-week course that gets underemployed folks some skill-trade. Student projects also include making building parts to fix up the church. Finally something to be jealous about besides @Brent H workshop

Not jealous.

Would only take on, if Church Tax Status still applied! :P

On the other hand, have seen a few boarded up primary and secondary schools over the years, that I would have really liked to have as shop buildings! :)

You might not be jealous BUT I AM!!! That is beautiful.

Old churches and schools are getting snapped up around here and being converted into beautiful eclectic homes!

I have seen 2 church conversions, 1 into a home the other a work shop. An old school in town is now a home.

Looks like a nice shop for a great cause.

One of my friends growing up lived in an old one room schoolhouse (with addition) in the country. The old bell is still there and operational too. He used to throw some good house parties in highschool, and I'm really sure the neighbors loved hearing that bell being rung all night long lol. Was always great fun puting on ACDC's hell bells, and ringing along with it. At 2am. :D
