Are those kind of a universal thing for blades? I have an ancient old table saw that takes 8" blades that seem to be fairly uncommon and I am wondering if I could keep the few blades I have going with those tips?

I don't know. I have never done that job. They came to me with some other stuff. I assume after they are soldered in the tips would need to be re-ground. There are some U tube vids on the process. Where are you located?

They both measure 0.190 inch wide. The 061702 has a square tip and the 061000 has an angled tip. For what that's worth?????
