My RF30 mill is 95% done, so it's time to see if there's any interest in a forum member buying my Busy Bee CT129 mill. It's had a complicated life, and has lots of potential.
CT 129 dated 2008. I bought it in 2012. Previous owner had started doing a CNC conversion, so it was missing some bits and has a few drilled and tapped holes in the column that don't have in impact on operation. (But are handy for hanging wrenches.)
20x7 table
MT2 quill
3/4 hp DC motor, motor controller upgraded from factory model to KBIC 240DS controller
2-axis DRO with glass scales on X & Y
factory z-axis DRO
Power head lift
Slightly flaky X power drive using NEMA 34 stepper motor. A work in progress, the pulse generator that feeds the stepper driver needs some work to clean up harmonics.
MT2 ER25 collet chuck
MT2 1/2" drill chuck
Set of MT2 collets
MT2 2" fly cutter with indexable inserts
All of the original parts to uninstall the power drive and power head lift
Adjustable work light
Handful of 3/8" tee-nuts to match table
Table is in very good shape, no divots.
No tachometer. From the CT129 parts breakdown, item 225 IR sensor is missing, and item 227 has been hacked up a bit when the IR sensor was removed. Doesn't affect usability but the hack job meant that I couldn't install a replacement sensor.
Parts are mostly interchangeable with Grizzly G0704.
I'd like to see $1000 for this, but I'm reasonably flexible.
