A rose for my wife

If I bought my wife flowers she would think I was cheating or did something wrong. So I made her a copper rose . It never needs water and it never withers and dies. This was for our 39th anniversary and I put it in a glass case that lights up every night and it never gets dusty.
she still loves it and me.

Wow!! Nice. Tell us about it.

Split some 3/4 copper pipe, flattened and drew rose petals and cut out with tin snips.
drilled centre hole and stacked on copper tubing stem. Oh ya forgot to mention chiseled in the petal veins. solder on to the stem and began shaping pedals. Made some leaf’s and stems and soldered together.

Very nicely done, that looks great. The kids and I made a copper rose for my Wife for Mothers day a few years ago. I used 10awg wire for the stem, but I really like how you used tubing. I have a couple coils in the garage, and the thought never crossed my mind. I want to cut it apart and redo it now :D.

Great job!

Very nice man, well done.

Now when u in the dog house u can remind her about how much you love her and how hard you worked to make her the gift

Very nice!
However, in my case my wife propagate roses and has several hundred varieties. She would much rather have me dig holes, set up irrigation systems, built a greenhouse (current project), haul compost....
If I made her something like that she's wonder who this strange guy was and where her husband went.
