Hi Folks. I'm replacing my Utilathe It was bought here on the forum. It's been restored I guess you'd call it, I can't get it out of where it is (the basement of my Condo) till mid july ish. I can load it on a truck or trailer from my garage.
It comes with:
a 1/2 hp 1725 motor that I installed new 3 ish years ago. It is very accurate and has excellent power for a machine this size. It was a school lathe at the beginning of its life so it has nicks and marks and there's evidence the compound has hit the chuck, If thats a problem for you, keep looking. It comes with everything in the pictures and 5 AXA xl tool holders (for 16mm or 5/8 tooling) It comes with : 5" 3 jaw Kobayashi 3 jaw, also marked as Victor, 6" 4 jaw Atlas / Pratt Bernerd bought new 3 ish years ago, an ER32 collet holder for the headstock taper, Drive plate and dog for turning between centers, 8 1/2 face plate, an indexing attachment made by the previous owner. steady rest, AxA quick change tool post with thrust bearing modification and 5 XL tool holders, The original lantern tool post with a R, L, C and parting holder. 1/2 inch tail stock chuck, live center and several dead centers, the add on tool tray (from it's school years) and the chip pan and manual.
It's been serviced regularly the reverse function had been disabled when I got it, I repaired that when I replaced the motor. I listed it with some other accessories on face book and kijiji but it seemed to push the price higher than was comfortable for most people. asking 3500.00 call or text me at 403-878-2555

Hey, another SAIT machine by the looks of the 'accessories tray'!

My SM9" was a great little machine in the short time I had it. I wonder what SAIT did with all the steady/follow rests?
