I think it might be. You can try calling him and asking. If it is sold I'll update the listing to reflect that.

I know I'm late to the party, but do you know if this lathe is still available?

Rolln if you haven't already checked out the manual try this. https://www.busybeetools.com/content/product_manuals/CT089.pdf

You can view and save a copy of Busy Bee/Craftex manuals by going here. htts://www.busybeetools.com/
Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page then click on 'Product Manuals".
Next scroll down the list of manuals until you find the one you want.

Good luck! Bill

Didn't end up calling. Thanks for the link Bill.

One thing holding me back is having to change gears for threading. I'm new to machining, have minor lathe/mill experience and don't want to rush into it.

Just my opinion but....don't let change gears keep you from starting. a lot of smaller lathes have them, I have a 10x22 lathe and although it has a quick change gear box, I still have to change gears for a lot of threads. Yes it is a bit of a pain but totally do-able. You're not likely to find a decent lathe with a true and full quick change gear box for $1500.

Definitely not a deal breaker if it comes down to it, haven't completely discouraged the idea. I hate taking the initial plunge into something... :)

If I lived closer I would have that lathe in a blink. Don't allow the changing of gears hold you back. I own a Craftex B2227L 10"x18" sort of a baby Elephant to the CT089 and yes I change gears. At $1500.00 I doubt you will find a better deal with all those attachments. Down the road should you want to upgrade to a fully automatic system you'll definitely get your money back on the CT089. Yup 12 years back I was in the same boat.

Recommend you go for it should it still be available. Bill

Why so cheap? I sold same lathe 3 years ago with far more then 1 part made on it for over 2000 - same model. Its brand new 3000 with a bit larger motor at BB.

He can just post it on kajiji at 2000 and sell it in less then a week.

Hey Alexander, thanks for posting the lathe. I've tried Les and haven't had any luck. Do you know if it's still available?

I have inherited a Craftex B2227L metal lathe which is in virtually new condition. I am not a machinist but there are some additional items which would be included. I can provide photos of lathe and other items if interested. I am located in Ontario.

Do you want to sell it? That’s not clear. If so I would post it in classified section.
