Tobho Mott
- "backyard" metal caster since 2013.
- built all my own gear, from furnaces and burners to a sand muller and molding bench
- Taught all the sand casting classes at the local blacksmithing school.here in Ottawa for the duration said classes were offered
- equipped the school with cast aluminum molding tools for 6 students and a teacher, 77 castings in all. My biggest order so far by a mile
- produced reproductions of antique castings for several local restoration hobbyists
- currently working with a local artist on a large cast aluminum sculpture project.
- acquired Bill Jurgenson's equipment when he retired and shut down his Niagara Falls art foundry
- saving up for a bigger shed and a gantry crane so I can run Bill's furnace and have the capacity to pour 200# of bronze per shot like.he did! Hopefully by the time I can retire from my day job...
- moderator on thehomefoundry dot org forums
- looking forward to sharing info and networking with other Canadian metal working enthusiasts!
